The Adults 55+ Ministry of FBC Covington seeks to meet the needs of adults 55+, provide them with opportunities for service and reach adults 55+ in our community for Christ. We seek to achieve these goals by providing opportunities for fellowship, support and spiritual enrichment. We encourage you to participate in our Adults 55+ activities and to find your place of ministry in FBC.
Bible Study & Worship
Bible Study classes and Worship Services are provided for all adults 55+ every Sunday at 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00. Morning and evening Bible studies and Discipleship classes are provided. A directory of opportunities can be found on the website under Impact University and Bible Fellowship Groups.
The Celebration Singers choir provides the opportunity for a meaningful ministry through music for adults 55+. The choir shares at worship services and ministers beyond our church walls at nursing homes, retirement centers, rallies and luncheons. The Celebration Singers meet on Tuesdays at 9:00 A.M. in the Choir Room. No prior experience is necessary, and the choir is open to all adults 55+ who love to sing or who desire to learn to sing.
Young at Heart
Young at Heart is the organization within our Adults 55+ ministry that provides a monthly program and fellowship luncheon. The luncheon/fellowship is held at 10:30 A.M. in the Fellowship Hall. (It usually takes place on the third Tuesday of each month with a few exceptions to accommodate holidays and/or special events.) This is a great time to make new friends and to enjoy a wonderful time of fellowship and great food. A program of inspiration, information, and/or entertainment is a special part of the morning. Young at Heart is open to all adults 55+ in our church and community.
