A Hands-On Approach to Disaster Relief

Welcome to 2021! In this new year of FBC Covington Missions, we’re expanding our ability to reach deeper into communities with the gospel. One crucial need is Disaster Relief — helping those who are facing hardships due to natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or flooding.

We encourage you to Get Trained and Get Connected so you can Get Involved

Register for the upcoming Louisiana Baptist Convention Disaster Relief Training on February 5-6 at First Baptist Church Covington. This 2-day event will provide you with hands-on and conceptional training in all disciplines of disaster relief. You’ll have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills that prepare you for specific Disaster Relief Teams, including:

  • Chainsaw Team
  • Foodservice Team
  • Shower Trailer Team
  • Mud-Out Team
  • Chaplaincy Team

We want you to be prepared to help when disaster strikes next! If you want more information on all the different areas of training, visit the Louisiana Baptist Convention website.

We hope you choose to get involved in disaster relief training on February 5-6. We want you to be fully trained to help those who are hurting during their greatest moment of need. You’ll not only complete a job — you’ll make a difference in God’s Kingdom.

At FBC Covington, our goal is to glorify God by listening and partnering with those who are hurting around us and all over the world — and the Louisiana Baptist Convention’s Disaster Relief Training is a great first step.

Register for Disaster Relief Training to begin serving.
