Ministering to our Special Friends and their families.
The Special Friends Ministry at First Baptist Church Covington exists to create an atmosphere that enables your entire family to become invested in the life of the church. From our Sunday morning activities to special events held throughout the year, we want every member of your family to be a part of the FBC Covington family. We are happy that you are here and we hope that we can be a blessing to you and your family in the days ahead.
Our Special Friends Ministry is available to work with families in finding the ideal class placement to meet their child’s needs. We offer a variety of classes and experience rooms, such as Bible Explorers, Computer Kids, Faith Factory, and Sensory Smiles, all designed to meet the needs of individuals of all ages and levels of ability. We also offer a Special Friends Adult Bible study class, called a Connect Group, which includes a Bible lesson and adult fellowship.
It's your night to shine!
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.
Our next Night to Shine will be held on February 13, 2026.
Sunday Mornings
Your whole family is in for a wonderful time of worship, making new friends, and studying God’s Word. We've worked hard to provide a place for your children that meets all of their unique and special needs. Your child can enjoy specially-designed playrooms, our swing room, and use our new iPads and “comfy” chairs. Our goal each week is for your child to leave our church building with a nugget of God’s Word and memories of a special time with our loving teachers and volunteers.
