The Hurts of Life

March-4-300x214“The God of Joseph will stay beside us during the dungeon days; He will not forsake or forget us. He will be there during the blast of the winter storm, holding out the promise of springtime. He will be there through the darkest night, quietly reminding us of the promise of morning light . . . . When the affliction ended, [Joseph] had been refined, and he came forth as gold. He had become a person of greater stability, of deeper quality, of stronger character”–Chuck Swindoll.

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today”–Joseph, Genesis 50:20.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”–Romans 8:28.

” ‘The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.’ Live simply. Live generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly and bloom where you are planted! Leave the rest to God”–MondayMatters.us.

“Even if you make mistakes today, God still controls your future. Walking in the Spirit, you can live life to the fullest, without fear of making mistakes that take you out of God’s control. Even when things appear to be terrible, you can trust that God is still working out his divine plan for your life”–Rick Warren.

“For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal”–2 Corinthians 4:17-18.
