I hope that you have seen the words and heard about the Transformational Church survey. Transformational Church is simply an attempt to make First Baptist Church as effective as possible. We want you to experience the power of God in your life. We ultimately want to touch the whole community with the transforming power of the Gospel.
Transformational Church comes from the teaching of the Scripture through the Apostle Paul. Paul called the Church at Rome to transformation: “Therefore,
I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:1-2).
Transformational Church has three essential parts.
First, we want to ask all of you—members and attenders (over the age of 16) to
take an anonymous survey that will take about fifteen minutes. The survey can be taken online, at various kiosk points around the church, or through obtaining a hard copy located in the Steeple Foyer. Information on “how” to take this survey is located as an insert in The Vision. Thank you in advance for participating in this important survey designed to help us be more effective in ministry. The survey is an attempt to learn how you see First Baptist Church. The end goal is to become a much more effective church which truly helps transform lives. The ultimate goal is a transformed culture.
Second, we will use the survey to help us know the needs of our church and our community.
Finally, we will adapt our ministries to do those things which will truly make a difference in our world.
Transformational Church is not a new program, but it is an attempt to do the things of God in a better way. Nothing can replace prayer, Bible study, and the work of the Holy Spirit, but if we can become better at prayer and more attentive to the Spirit we can make a difference in the lives of the people around us.
