In recent weeks, my heart and mind have been drawn to the words of Paul in Ephesians 6:10-20 about putting on the full armor of God. As you would expect, Paul speaks prominently about prayer. This is what he said: “Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the Saints, and also for me, that utterance may be given me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak” Ephesians 6:18–20.
I want to encourage you to pray:
- For the presidential election, that God will move mightily over our land; that we would repent of our idolatry and immorality, and seek God with all our hearts.
- That God’s Word through our church would be proclaimed boldly, that like Paul, we would be faithful in boldly teaching truth.
- For Andy Ardoin and the people of First Baptist Church, White Castle, Louisiana, as Andy leads the church and is ordained this Sunday afternoon in The Chapel.
- For the many people in our congregation who are struggling with illness and with the issues related to the end of life.
- That we might be blessed to see many, many people repent of their sins and turned to faith in Christ.
I want to thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and your devotion to God. May God bless you as you seek to live for Him.
