Thanks to all of you for graciously allowing us to take some time off in July. We are looking forward to spending time with both of our children and their families, as well as my mother in Alabama. While our plans are not complete, we hope to get to make a getaway trip as well.
While we are gone, we have excellent preachers for the month.

July 6- 7, This will be a time of special music, and we will have Dave King to preach. I came to know Dave as he led the Gideons International through their national meeting in New Orleans during the 300th anniversary of the city. Dave has a passion to reach our communities for Christ and communicates that passion well.

July 13-14, Don Pucik serves as the Associational Ministry Strategist for Northshore Baptists. He has recently begun this ministry after serving as pastor and state leader in Arkansas. Don and the Northshore Baptist Association have offices in our building.

Jul 20-21, Gary Chapman, the author of the bestselling Christian book, The Five Love Languages, will preach at all three services. The Five Love Languages has sold millions of copies and is well known by non-Christians. This will be an excellent time to invite friends, family, and associates to our services.

July 27-28, Dr. Steve Horn is a former student of mine and the newly elected leader of Louisiana Baptists. For the past fourteen years he has been the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lafayette, Louisiana.

This going to be a great month. I will be praying for God’s blessings during this month.
