Moving toward 101%!

The past few weeks have been very encouraging concerning worship attendance and connect group participation. We are moving toward what we hope and pray will be 100% of our 2019 attendance and participation.

Actually, we want to move beyond where we were. For that reason, we are looking for 101% as we get back to school in August and beyond.

This will not happen easily. It will come through prayer, faithfulness, and a desire to reach our friends and neighbors.

To give you an idea of where we are – compared to where we were – look at these statistics:

  • This past week we had 2098 in attendance for worship, which is about 90% of our average attendance in 2019. This is the first time we have had more than 2000 in attendance this year (apart from Easter).
  • We had more than 1400 in Connect Groups, the first time we have exceeded that number since we restarted Connect Groups last August. To give you an idea of how this compares, we averaged almost 1550 in the year 2019.

We obviously have a long way to go, but we are making progress weekly.

Please join with us this Sunday afternoon at 5 PM for a congregational meeting to determine accepting First Baptist Church Kenner as part of our church. This had been in the works for months, and we should make a final determination concerning this decision.
