Week 3 of “Did you know?” In the two previous weeks we pointed out Support Groups and Resources – this week is Service. Did you know that we need you to serve? Below are several areas where you can join in and be a blessing to others through your service. This is just “some” of many!
First Impressions Team
- Door Greeters: These are the group of men and women who open the doors, smiles, and welcomes everyone who enters. We want people to feel the love of God from their coming in and going out.
- Golf Cart Drivers: These are the men & women who drive around the multi-seat golf carts each Sunday picking up and dropping off people as they come and leave the building. If either of these appeals to you, please contact Liz Jones at ljones@fbccov.org
Ushers
Gentlemen, if you are interested in being one of the smiling, helpful men that greet people each weekend and passes out Sermon Notes – then we have the perfect place for you to serve. Please contact Bob Simmons @ 985-630-7155 or Chuck Morris @ 985-264-0779
AB Ladies
Our AB Ladies are those sweet ladies who go above and beyond with their help in so many areas of administrative duties at FBCCov. They help with mailings, stuffing of items, labeling, setting up the Worship Center, etc. If this sounds appealing and you would like to volunteer, please contact Patti Busby at pbusby@fbccov.org in for more details.
Prayer Groups
These are men and women who know the power of prayer and are committed to pray for our church, the staff, the needs of our members, the community, the state, and our nation.
To join any of the 3 groups, all you need is to have a strong love of the Lord, a commitment to prayer, an understanding of confidentiality, and then to just show up.
Men’s Prayer Group – meets each Tuesday at 7:30-9:00am in W414
Women’s Prayer Groups – Mondays at 9:30-11:00am OR Wednesdays at 9:00-10:00am, Both are in W417
