If you could do one thing to help the church and to help people, would you do it? 

I have great confidence that you would.

Here is my suggestion for today. Join a group of people similar to you in meeting together for fellowship, prayer, and Bible Study. We call those groups “Connect Groups.” 

These are small groups of people who get to know one another and pray and encourage one another. When people meet together in those groups, they get to help others, and they get help for themselves. As I have often said, “If you determine to be a blessing to others, you will be blessed.”

Over the next several weeks our Connect Groups are studying how they can do a better job of helping others to know God and to bless people. I had a great report this week of how one of our groups instituted those teachings and saw excitement and joy as they helped others get connected to God.

I want to ask you join with them. Would you let one of our pastors know of your desire to get connected? If you do, we can help you find the right group and suggest ways to get involved.  Doing this will be a blessing to you, a blessing to the group you join, and a blessing to the church.

Also, I want to invite you to join us at Bogue Falaya Park – Sunday, September 4th at 4:00PM – as we celebrate River Baptism for those who have chosen to follow Christ in this public profession of faith.  What a great way for the church to bless and encourage these new believers.
