First Baptist Church Covington is blessed to have so many wonderful pastors that seek God, love their families, and have a heart for people.
This weekend Josh introduces himself and his family:
Leslie and I are grateful to serve our church family. I moved from Texas to serve on staff in June of 2007 – and met the love of my life, Leslie, 3 months later when she moved here from Alabama. We were married in 2008 and have loved serving at FBC for these last 16 years! We have 4 kids: Kate, Judah, John Luke, and Jonas, who love our children’s ministry and church. During this time, we learned a lot about parenting and still have a lot to learn!
My role at FBC is College and Young Families Pastor. I get to shepherd our college students who are growing as leaders in our church. I also help young families get connected through Connect Groups, Equip Classes, VBS, Upward Sports, MOPS, Mother’s Day Out, Trail Life and American Heritage Girls. We have a great team of volunteers and staff that lead in these ministries every week! Our heart’s desire is to see Dads, Moms and kids reached by the gospel and transformed for HIS GLORY! – Josh
Martha and I have enjoyed the month away, but we are looking forward to being back at work on Monday. Just a reminder that this week we start back Tuesday Men’s Breakfast August 1st, Wednesday Night Bible Study August 2nd, and Kid’s Worship Sunday, August 6th.
Next weekend we also have Class Promotions for our Preschool, Children, and Youth ministries.
