Lagniappe

I want to commend you for your faithfulness, obedience, and perseverance during this very trying time.

In the midst of suffering and difficulty, you have been generous and caring toward others. We asked you to give specific items and offerings, and you have done both admirably.

We have made several trips to Houma and other areas to our south with your donations where they have been received with enthusiasm and gratitude.

At the same time, we are also seeking to meet needs in our own area as well.

We have scheduled a family workday for the next two Saturdays, September 25th & October 2nd, with the plan to form teams to help people in our area remove trees and debris.

Family Workday – this is how it will work:

➢ Meet at the church (near the Pavilion) at 8:00 AM to form into teams to go out to work.

➢ We will conclude at 1:00 PM.

➢ We are hoping to bring encouragement and hope to many people.

➢ If you have questions about this, please call the church office or speak with Josh Jordan.

We ARE making a difference, as we send out workers and continue to collect donations, both monetary and items. Please continue to give as God has given to you.

River Baptism Reschedule:

With the damage of downed trees, debris, river flooding, and scheduling of the Pavilion – we have decided to reschedule the River Baptism to the outdoor baptistry on the front plaza at the church this Sunday September 19th at 4:00PM.

We have around 30 people ready to stand for Christ by following Him in baptism. This should be a joyful time as we encourage adults, children, and families. We invite you to join with us, and these families, in this celebration.
