The ministry of prayer . . .

Martha and I want to thank you for your prayers on our behalf. At the present time we are both doing
fine, and we are thankful for God’s blessings and for the prayers of God’s people.

While this illness has limited us in many ways, it has not blocked our most effective ministry – the
ministry of prayer.

      James 5:16b The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces
      wonderful results.

Would you look for opportunities to pray specifically for the needs of people around us – and that the
gospel may be known and experienced by many people in this difficult time?

As always, I am thankful for the people who work alongside me to minister and to serve. You are in
really good hands under the leadership of the other pastors of FBC.

We both look forward to the time, very soon when we can meet with the church again.
