The Chapel at First Baptist Church
I spent this past Thursday touring The Chapel at First Baptist Church and The Garden Room that accompanies it. Along with the prayer garden, these buildings will be a magnificent addition to First Baptist Church.
We are thankful to God for this new addition. We are prayerful to God about using it for His honor and glory.
The chapel will primarily be used for weddings, funerals, and other formal gatherings. The smaller building that accompanies it, The Garden Room, will be available for informal gatherings such as wedding and baby showers.
The Garden Room will accommodate about 75 people standing or about 50 people with table/chairs. The Chapel itself will seat up to 300 people, which is a number that we believe will provide for most funerals and weddings.
We expect the building and grounds to be completed sometime in November and we look forward to the day when it will be open to the entire church to visit and see what God has done.
With that in mind, we have planned for an Open House and walk-through after “the lighting of the Christmas tree” in the FBC Plaza at 6PM on Sunday, November 29.
We hope that you will join us for this celebration of the lighting of the tree, which will be a joyous time of singing and special music – part of which will come from the programable bells in the Bell Tower of The Chapel.
This will be a great time for you to introduce family and friends to First Baptist Church, to experience the kick-off of the Christmas Season, AND to tour the beautiful Chapel and Prayer Garden.
