Martha and I are grateful to have time to be away during the month of July. We have found this extended period is a great refresher for us as we look forward to the fall.
I am excited about August and the next two years as we complete the expansion of our building.
We anticipate moving into the preschool and children’s building and opening the commons area sometime next year. That should be an exciting time. Many of our Bible study classes will move as we began to institute our new schedule for Sunday mornings. We believe that beginning the new schedule before we move into the new Worship Center will be a positive for the entire church. If we can institute the new schedule early, when we move to a new Worship Center all we will have to do is rejoice, worship and celebrate.
We are continuing to think, listen, and pray about how that schedule should be put together. Please be sure to join us in prayer for these important decisions.
While I am out for the month of July, we will continue to meet on Wednesday evenings (except for this Wednesday July 6). Glynn Robinson will facilitate our Wednesday Worship. When I return August 3, we will begin an in depth study of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus from the Gospel of Luke. Please join with me in that important study.
On the weekends in July you will get to hear from some of our pastors and one guest:
Today, July 2-3 Jay Johnston
July 9-10 Josh Jordan
July 16-17 Bill Boren
July 23-24 Chris Kroll
July 30-31 Dr. Rick Brewer, President of Louisiana College
My first teaching opportunity when I return will be the Tuesday Men’s Breakfast August 2.
